Campaigner says organ donor campaign shabby

The Health Ministry is being accused of running a shabby public consultation campaign on the future of organ donation.

It issued a low key media release at the start of this month announcing the launch of a review into human issue regulations.

But organ donation campaigner Andy Tookey says many people don't realise this includes examining the consent process surrounding the donation of an organ.

He says this is an issue which will affect every New Zealander and may be decided with little public input.
