Photo \ Getty Images FacebookTwitterPrintEmailMore The Prime Minster is shutting down a call to make organ donation mandatory. Jess Manning has taken a petition to Parliament asking for the system to be opt-out, and for families to not be allowed veto power over whether their sick loved one can donate. Jacinda Ardern told Mike Hosking she wants to increase the level of donation, without breaching people's wishes. "I know the Minister of Health is taken away our desire to see an increase and is doing some work in that space but mandatory isn't part of that because we do need to listen to people's own personal desires."
